Mushroom Mug

$70.00
sold out

Red capped, speckled mushrooms (amanita muscaria) growing out of a cauldron shaped-mug.

The mug and the feet are both thrown on the wheel, while the mushrooms are hand-built and hand-painted with glaze. The inside and outside of the mug are glazed in a smooth black matte. Stands on three protruding feet.

✿ Holds around 14 ounces or 415 ml.

✿ Around 4.25 inches tall and 4 inches wide.

✿ Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln

✿ Food-safe, microwave-safe, and dishwasher-safe, but hand-washing is recommended.

✿ Due to the handmade aspect of my craft, please do not expect perfection from my pieces.

✿ There might be slight variations in size, shape, and color, especially when comparing the listing photos on your screen and the piece you receive in person.

✿ Handmade in Longmont, Colorado

An old growth forest here abides
a swiftly building grown
betrays the quiet forward march
towards its cracking bones.

Absent lungs or chloroplasts an
old man breathes untroubled.
Tear apart what’s left of me and
churn the blackest soil.
