Two axolotls for the price of one! Swimming happily around a thumb cup, amidst bubbles.
I’ve never seen axolotls in real life. One time, I was hiking around a lake in Colorado, and I thought I saw them floating in the lake. They were a muddy, swampy variation of axolotl. I was so pleased! But it turns out, they were just juvenile tiger salamanders.
This ceramic cup features real axolotls all around. Soapy underglaze was used to create the blue and green bubbles, a technique known as bubble glazing. The inside is glazed in a turquoise blue, and the outside glazed clear. Plus, the cup is indented for easy holding.
There are two thumb cups available here. See listing photos for details! Cup #2 is slightly smaller and holds about 11 ounces.
